The Fireplace

My husband just turned the fireplace on for the first time this season. (Okay, we live in Southern California so we turn on our fireplaces; we don’t light real logs). I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of the flames. I forgot how hypnotic the colors are as they dance around the logs. Our Flames soap and Flames Icon Candle captures this feeling, so please take a look at our Flames soap and candle, the colors are rich and bright and the fragrance is warm and woodsy like a grandfathers pipe. It has deep notes of vanilla and cherry wrapped in tobacco leaf. This soap and candle will warm the spirit and put you in the mood for the cooler days coming up.

Have a good week,

Dave's Dragon Dust

I wanted to share with you that I am a chile pepper farmer. I grow about 30+ varieties of Habanero and the hottest chile in the world, Bhut Jolokia ( ghost Pepper ) I make a product called Dave's Dragon Dust, which is made up of all the hottest chiles in the world. I cut and process these by hand, getting the oils from the chiles on my hands. after one session of processing, my hands burn!! So I started washing them frequently with "Ariel" that we have always had at the sink and it cuts through the chile oils and cleans the capsaicin (alkyloid that makes chiles hot) better than anything I've tried. If you have any input as to what is in your soap that contributes to this I'd love to know. I have also been passing this info on to fellow chileheads/farmers that have the same issues processing chiles. I have tried wearing gloves but just can't do it. Anyway, Thanks for your time and GREAT product!!

Sincerely,

Dave

‘Tis the Season

Football season is in full swing. I was watching 60 Minutes but when I went upstairs to change into my pajamas a cruel trick was played on me. The channel had been changed. Football was on. So that gave me my inspiration for today’s writing. Normally I don’t talk much about Football; but how about a slice of Primal Elements Football soap to decorate the bath or shower of the football fan in the house. It’s clean, fresh fragrance is a real crowd pleaser and will certainly provide enjoyment to even the football challenged folks in the house….like me!

Have a good week!

Winterfall

Last weekend our family took a trip to Chicago for a family gathering. I was checking the weather reports days prior to the trip, and I was filled with disappointment to learn that it would be gray, dreary, and rainy. I was pleasantly surprised with what would come. The rain cleared away and we experienced a virtual rainbow of colors. The leaves on the trees were the most vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow. Piles of leaves on the ground were rich browns and russet. I thought about our Winterfall soap . The colors of the season combined with the crisp fragrance truly mimic the beautiful fall days we experienced during our weekend in the Windy City.

Have a great week,

Fish in a Bag

We have two dogs that have been with us for many, many years, Rusty and Ginger. We love spending time with them and they bring so much joy to our lives, but much like small children, they need a lot of tender loving care. One of the challenges we face as dog owners, is that when we want to go away for an extended period we have to arrange for a doggie sitter. I often wondered, what if there was a pet that doesn’t need much care, doesn’t need to be fed, and could stay in the house without having to be walked twice a day. Ta Da! Fish in a Bag. A charming little plastic goldfish swims in a pool of vegetable glycerin soap, fragranced with our favorite Facets of the Sea aroma. Our cute little fish soap is just like the carnival prize in a plastic bag tied with a pretty ribbon, but this fish doesn’t need to be fed. So don’t feel guilty if you leave home for a few hours, Fish in a Bag will be on your soap dish waiting for your next bath time experience. Of course they can’t replace Rusty and Ginger.

Have a Great Week!

Jack

Our trade publications tell us that Halloween has passed Valentine’s Day as the holiday that people spend the most money on for home decorating. Ghosts, goblins, and witches are everywhere; but I see pumpkins around every corner of our factory. One of our most popular soaps is called Jack. We just can’t make this soap fast enough. Jack is a friendly jack-o-lantern in rich orange hues of fall with bright yellow eyes, nose, and mouth. The decadent aroma of pumpkin, spice, and creamy vanilla fill the air in the factory causing a pumpkin pie craving to kick in. Check out our Jack soap and share some Halloween fun with family and friends.

Have a spicy week,

Stained Glass

I love going out to our candle department and looking at all the glistening pieces of gel cut and waiting to be placed in our Color Bowl Candles. The vibrant colors of the rainbow and the sparkling glittery pieces just beckon for you to come and play with them. Of course, the tactile fun of these jelly-like pieces serve a more important purpose. They create the brilliant stained glass effect that makes our patented Color Bowl Candles so unique. Each candle is handmade using the finest vegetable wax blend and sparkling gel pieces to provide hours of aromatic delight with an original glow. With the seasons beginning to change, the warm glow of candles enhances any environment so why not add a Primal Elements Color Bowl Candle to brighten your fall décor.

Have a good week,
